As an intern at Ortec Finance, you will be working with a challenging assignment from one of our many different departments. Surrounded by a team of experts who are not just leaders in their fields but also passionate mentors, you will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience. If desired, we provide you with the opportunity to combine your Graduation thesis at R&D Labs with working as a Student Assistant in one of our departments.

Our Benefits

• You will be based at our Rotterdam office, conveniently located near public transport.
• You can manage your start and end of the working day and be flexible to combine work with your private life. If you would like or sometimes need to, working from home is an option.
• Based on a combined function of two days as a student assistant and three days internship you will receive 1.444 euro (gross monthly allowance).
• Your commute is reimbursed.
• You can participate in our Internal Kubernetes Academy, where you learn all about Cloud Native solutions and how to implement them. This is a valuable addition to your regular academic curriculum, which will contribute to your professional career.

Since our establishment in 1981, we have put innovation through applied scientific research and IT developments as a priority. Our research and innovation activities are concentrated within the Ortec Finance R&D Labs. We work and experiment with both new modelling approaches and IT techniques and concepts in order to research their applicability to investment decision making. R&D Labs aims to be the linking pin between colleagues and clients of Ortec Finance and the scientific research community.

It performs innovative, high-quality research with a strong practical focus. We collaborate with students, academics, and external parties to design the future of investment decision making.

• Improve the Experience of our Developers using Self-Service Platforms like Backstage
• Deploy Machine Learning Models in the Cloud

Requirements

• You are pursuing a degree in an HBO study in IT, (applied) data science, or a related field in your 4th year (graduation).
• You master the English and/or Dutch language.
• You have experience with Programming.
